Flat Packed Procrastinator

I’m wondering why flat-pack furniture always causes me to procrastinate for so long. This box containing CD storage has been sitting in my flat for weeks, or is it months?

Of course I got distracted with recent events but nonetheless still spent the last few days looking at the box asking myself why I don’t just bite the bullet and get on with it.
When I unpacked the box this evening and looked at the instruction leaflet my question was answered. It had 33 different stages, all depicted in quite complicated-looking drawings. Thirty three!

Anyway I did it. I followed the drawings to the letter ....
....and built this CD tower!

And it really didn’t take so long.

I know, I know. It’s not that big a deal, anybody can build flat-pack furniture and yes, indeed anybody can, as I have done many times before in my life but somehow there is always an enormous sense of achievement when the job is done, perhaps because it’s never as hard as the instruction leaflet first suggests.

Is it this easy to build an Ikea kitchen?

No more procrastination!
