I feel better. I felt better last weekend but crashed again for a few days at the beginning of last week. Then I felt better again and that’s lasted through.
On Friday evening my friend Andy called, almost beside himself with excitement and announced “Simi’s got us tickets for tomorrow’s Strictly.....!”. Our friend Simi works in production at the BBC.
It’s become a tradition that Andy and I spend Saturday evenings together watching Strictly Come Dancing, giving our technique advice and scoring along with the judges. I love it.

We had so much fun and of course I could not sleep when I got home, still high on the aftershow afterglow!
Today I woke late and leisurely cycled up to the allotment with my new camera (hurrah!) with the intention of bringing the pumpkins home to store in the dry. These five beauties weighed a ton!
I also have this enormous pale orange pumpkin that my allotment neighbour Anna-Liisa grew. I swapped it for an equally enormous green Marina di Chioggia last week.
Pumpkin for the next few weeks (or months) then!
