Food Lovers Delight

A great day at The Underground Farmers & Craft Market on Sunday last.....

I had my hand-printed sweatshop-free Love Life tees for sale. The weather had been so bad, and SO cold earlier on this season that the vegetable plants I planned to sell were nowhere near ready, so I had to content myself with only a few strawberry plants and some glorious black grass, Ophiopogon planiscapus ‘Nigrescens’, along with some packets of Red Orache seeds.

I shared my balcony space with Kitchen Confidential,

whose chocolate and beetroot brownies were out of this world!

And Laura & Caroline, formerly of Pogo Cafe, with their jars of sauerkraut and other fermented treats.

We had the best spot in the house, for the sun shone down on us most of the afternoon.

Every room in the house, including the bathroom, bedroom, as well as the garden and its shed, was packed to the brim with stallholders, each offering up fabulous goodies. More Food than Crafts, t-shirt sales were not great, but I had THE BEST time anyway!

Huge thanks to Ms Marmitelover for organising such a great event, and for opening up her lovely home to us all. I look forward to the next one.

There are days when I wished I lived nearby. Looks like it was a wonderful and successful day.

Aw I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself...I had wanted to drop in but a broken foot has rendered it hard for me to get about these days... xxx
